When aboard one of our comfortable gulets/ketches on your one or two-week sailing cruise you will cruise in the warm turquoise waters off the Mediterranean (North-eastern Sardinia), going from one pretty bay to another tranquil cove, peacefully enjoying this beautiful area. The coastline here is a mixture of beaches, bays, villages and towns and uninhabited islands. Nature here is still largely unspoilt with pine-trees and olive trees dotting the landscape.
Although Ventus Sailing Cruises are leisure cruises you can make your day as energetic or as relaxing as desired. Read a book while sipping a drink and sunning on deck.
Briefing time.......
Whenever possible the captain and crew will try and fulfil your wishes. You can inform us about your preference for a particular itinerary when making a reservation. We have cruised (if possible by sail) all routes on many occasions and the captains with their vast knowledge of the coast know the best places for swimming and the most beautiful and quiet bays and coves in the area.
Every morning after breakfast your captain gives you full details about the route and he presents you with a range of possibilities for that day, all depending on the weather of course.
Our home base is the authentic town of Cannigione, North-eastern Sardinia, not far from the fashionable resort of Porto Cervo and about 35 minutes from the airport of Olbia. During the week you have one time dinner outside, normally it will be in the beautiful Corsican town of Bonifacio.
Our crew
Our Italian crew usually consists of a captain, cook and two or three deckhands (male/female) depending on the size of the yacht. They are very experienced, are continuously at your disposal and will cater to all your needs. The cook pampers you during the whole trip with Mediterranean specialties and the captain will ensure your safety at sea and will show you the most beautiful and picturesque coves and secluded bays.
Meals & drinks on board
When it comes to food you are up for a feast in Italy. The Italian cuisine is ranked among the world’s top cuisines, offering an endless array of delicious dishes with each region in Italy, like Sardinia, having its own distinctive personality. The building blocks of the Italian cuisine are fresh vegetables and fruit, seafood, grilled meat, starters, pastas and salads. Mangiare gustoso, Enjoy!
Private charter or cabin charter
Our yachts are suitable for people of all ages, nationalities, including families with (young) children, couples, singles and groups of friends. When booking on your own or together with your partner or friend(s) you may wish to rent a cabin on any of our yachts, meet your fellow shipmates on board and perhaps make some new friends. We know, however, how important the composition of a group can be. Therefore, we do pay close attention to the composition.
Private charter: you may choose to hire your own gulet/ketch with a group of friends or families, colleagues or business partners. This is ideal on the occasion of a special celebration or simply when you would like to have the yacht all to yourself. The yachts can accommodate max. 8 to 12 people.
